CSM Alvin V. Brown
Biography

Command Sergeant Major (CSM) Alvin V. Brown was born on 28 September 1969, in Gainesville, FL. He entered the United States Army on 21 July 1987, and attended basic training at Fort Leonardwood, Missouri.  He completed Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Troy University and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Columbia Southern University.

His deployments include Operation Desert Shield (Turn-In Section NCOIC), Operation Enduring Freedom (First Sergeant), Operation Iraqi Freedom II (S2/3 NCOIC) and Operation Iraqi Freedom 06/08 (DMC Sergeant Major).   
 
CSM Brown is a graduate of the USASMA, Class 55. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (2nd Award); the Meritorious Service Medal (5th Award), the Army Commendation Medal (3rd Award), the Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), the Army Good Conduct Medal (8th Award), the Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Kuwait Liberation Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Driver’s Badge. CSM Brown and his wife Freda have two children, Jordan Brown and Alexandria Boykin.
